1. Agreement to Terms
By submitting a booking request through our website, contacting us via WhatsApp, or engaging our services in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. About my Errands
my Errands is a privately operated on-ground representation and errand service based in Nairobi, Kenya. Our services are provided by our trusted team, operating as a personal service business.
We are not a registered law firm, registered real estate agency, or regulated financial institution. Any service we provide is practical, physical, and observational in nature.
3. The Services
We offer on-ground services including but not limited to:
- Property and land visits with video documentation
- Construction site supervision and progress reporting
- Family and relative welfare checks
- Document collection and government agency follow-ups (KRA, Huduma Centre, Land Registry)
- Airbnb and rental property management and condition checks
- Business location verification and scam prevention checks
- Shopping, purchasing, and material delivery on your behalf
- Project oversight and contractor accountability
Specific scope and deliverables are agreed on a per-job basis via WhatsApp before work begins.
4. Quotes, Pricing & Payment
All pricing is discussed and confirmed via WhatsApp before any work begins. We provide transparent, upfront quotes. We do not charge hidden fees.
- A job is confirmed only once a quote has been agreed between both parties
- We prefer clients to pay for materials or shopping directly via M-Pesa from wherever they are. If we must handle cash on your behalf, funds must be received by us before we spend
- All cash expenditure is fully documented with receipts and photos
- Payment methods are agreed directly with our team
5. What We Are — and Are Not — Responsible For
We Are Responsible For
- Showing up to the agreed location at the agreed time
- Providing accurate, honest, and unfiltered reports of what we observe
- Keeping receipts and documentation for any funds spent on your behalf
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your personal information
We Are Not Responsible For
- The condition of properties, plots, or buildings we observe — we report, we do not control
- Decisions made by contractors, fundis, caretakers, or family members
- Legal outcomes of land or property disputes — we are not lawyers
- Any third-party fraud that occurred before you engaged us
- Force majeure events — floods, civil unrest, road closures, etc. that prevent access
- Inaccuracies arising from information you provided us that was incorrect
6. Scope Limitations
We provide observational and practical services only. We:
- Do not provide formal legal advice
- Do not provide formal property valuations or surveys
- Do not sign legal documents on your behalf without a separate, explicit written agreement
- Do not make binding legal commitments on your behalf
Our reports are practical observations. They are not substitutes for professional legal, architectural, or financial advice.
7. Confidentiality
We treat all client information as strictly confidential. We do not share details about your family, property, location, or personal matters with anyone outside of our two-person team, unless required by law.
8. Cancellations
- You may cancel a booked job at any time before we have travelled to the location at no charge
- If we have already travelled to the site, a partial fee covering transport costs may apply — this will always be discussed fairly
- Cancellations are handled directly via WhatsApp
9. Intellectual Property
All photos, videos, and written reports we produce for your job are delivered to you as the client. You own the content of your reports. We may retain anonymised examples of our work for portfolio purposes only, with no personally identifying information, unless you explicitly ask us not to.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes will be resolved first through direct communication, and thereafter through applicable Kenyan legal channels.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
